House of 1000 Corpses Figures from NECA

NECA is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses with a set of Little Big Head stylized figures. Otis Driftwood, Captain Spaulding, and Baby Firefly each measure between 5″ and 6″ tall and come packaged together in a window box. Due out in September, the set can be pre-ordered for $59.99.

David Cronenberg Print from Vanessa McKee

David Cronenberg celebrated his 80th birthday this week, and he’s still churning out provocative and though-provoking movies with no signs of slowing down. From The Brood to Crimes of the Future, Vanessa McKee pays tribute to his legacy with a gorgeous illustration. 9×12 prints come signed by the artist for $30.

Maniac Cop 2 Shirt from Fright Rags

Maniac Cop 2 parodies RoboCop’s classic artwork with a design by Zachary Jackson Brown. Beyond the obvious similarities between them, both movies play like shotgun blasts of untamed entertainment. The mashup is available from Fright-Rags on T-shirts for $30, baseball tees for $40, and zip-up hoodies for $52.

EC Comics Ornaments from Retro-a-go-go

Retro-a-go-go will release a set of EC Comics ornaments in the fall. Designed by Doug P’gosh, each hand-painted resin piece measures 5″ tall atop a magnetic display base.

The Vault Keeper is styled after the work of artist Johnny Craig with an issue of The Vault of Horror. The Old Witch is styled after the work of artist Graham Ingels with an issue of The Haunt of Fear. The Crypt Keeper is styled after the work of artist Jack Davis with an issue of Tales from the Crypt.

The set of three is available to pre-order for $90 when you use the coupon code EC4ME. Once in stock, they’ll cost $130.

Witchtrap Blu-ray from MVD

Witchtrap will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on June 13 as part of MVD’s Rewind Collection. It’s presented in high definition via Vinegar Syndrome’s 2016 2K restoration from an interpositive. Reversible artwork, a mini poster, a VHS-inspired slipcover are included.

The 1989 horror film is written and directed by Kevin Tenney (Night of the Demons, Witchboard). James W. Quinn, Kathleen Bailey, Linnea Quigley, Judy Tatum, Rob Zapple, Hal Havins, Kevin Tenney, and J.P. Luebsen star.

Special features include the Magnum Entertainment VHS version in standard definition plus an audio commentary by Tenney, Havins, cinematographer Tom Jewett, and producer Dan Duncan; interviews with Tenney, Quigley, Jewett, and special effects supervisor Tassilo Baur; the original trailer; and a photo gallery.
