Fear reached new heights in Lionsgate’s Fall last year, a heart-pounding tale of survival from the producers of 47 Meters Down that was released in August 2022. Deadline reports today, “Acrophobia sufferers look away now: the makers of vertigo thriller Fall are plotting a sequel after the film became an unexpected hit on Netflix internationally.”

The site’s report continues, “British producer Tea Shop Productions and director Scott Mann are discussing ideas for a second movie.”

Tea Shop’s James Harris tells the site, “We’ve got a couple of ideas we’re kicking around … We don’t want to make something that feels like a copycat or less than the first one.”

Before it arrived on Netflix in the UK and became a success for the streaming service, Fall was released in theaters last year and managed to scare up an impressive $17 million.

In last year’s movie…

For best friends Becky (Grace Caroline Currey) and Hunter (Virginia Gardner), life is all about conquering fears and pushing limits. But after they climb 2,000 feet to the top of a remote, abandoned radio tower, they find themselves stranded with no way down.

“Now Becky and Hunter’s expert climbing skills will be put to the ultimate test as they desperately fight to survive the elements, a lack of supplies, and vertigo-inducing heights in this adrenaline-fueled thriller.”

Also starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen, “The Walking Dead”), Fall was produced & directed by Scott Mann (Final Score) and written by Mann and Jonathan Frank (Final Score).
