After a drug run goes bad, two friends must survive a nightmarish ordeal of drugs, bugs and horrific intimacy in this backwoods body-horror thriller.

Hi Cooper and Jose, it’s great to talk with you both. Swallowed was insane. I wanted Ben and Dom to be okay, and happy. How did you both get involved with Swallowed?

Cooper- I auditioned for it, and I had known Carter for about five years before it came my way. We had always wanted to work together and it hadnt happened yet. My team sent me the audition, and I loved the script so, I put myself on tape, and sent it in. We had a meeting, and Carter offered me the role.

Swallowed has some intense moments. Did either of you have to do anything special to prepare for the roles of Ben, and Dom?

Jose- I loved the script, and Carter is a good filmmaker. I was aware of his work. I came up with some different ideas, and the fun begins when you start filming.

Cooper- For me, I focused on my relationship with Dom (Jose Colon), and how we met, the memories that we had together and how they established the foundation of the relationship for me. I wanted to figure out why Ben wanted to move to LA. I kind of let myself be free, and experience the situations as if they are happening in real time.

What do the two of you want to say to everyone that’s going to be watching Swallowed?

Cooper- I think I want people to connect to their relationship, and be moved by it.

Jose- There is a painful death.

Cooper- Spoiler alert.

What are the two of you working on next?

Cooper- everyone will have to wait and find out.

Jose- Same.

What was it like for both of you working together, and with Carter?

Cooper- We had a lot of fun together. We established a friendship. It was the same with us and Jena Malone. Carter was so freeing with us. He let us change some stuff. He listened to us and trusted our instincts.

Jose- Carter is really great. It was great.

It was such an honor to talk to both of you. You both did such a great job in Swallowed. Thank you so much.

Cooper- Thank you.

Jose- Thank you.
