A 58-year-old Cameron man was placed at the Moore County Detention Center without bond after an alleged domestic assault put a woman in the ICU.
“On March 4, 2023 the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a domestic violence victim with serious injuries,” said Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields about the investigation in Cameron. “The victim was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Moore Regional Hospital where she was treated for her injuries and is in stable condition.”
Walter Ray is facing charges of one count of first-degree kidnapping, one count of assault inflicting serious bodily injury, and one count of assault by strangulation.
The suspect is due in court on Wednesday and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
