Seattle Police officers responded to shots heard.
Officers arrived at about 04:30 a.m. near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Bell Street locating a victim that appeared to have been shot. Officers rendered aid as Seattle Fire Department personnel were enroute to the scene. SFD later transported the 37-year-old male victim to Harborview Medical Center. As the victim was receiving medical treatment at the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently unknown.
SPD Homicide Detectives will be leading the investigation.
