Chicago police are looking for a man who tried to lure two teenage girls in Rogers Park last week.

The 14- and 15-year-old girls, who are friends, were at 6725 North Clark when the man approached them with a shopping cart at 4:16 p.m. on February 27, police said.

“You look sexy,” he told the girls in Spanish. “I want to hire you. You should come work for me.”

Police said the girls responded in Spanish that they were only 14 and 15 years old.

“Next time I see you, I’m going to take you,” the man replied as he tried to block the girls’ path, according to police. Both girls got away.

In a community alert about the incident, Chicago police said the man is Hispanic, 40 to 50 years old, about 5’1″ tall, and weighs 120 to 150 pounds. He has gray hair, a red bump near his lip, crooked teeth, and a high-pitched voice. He wore a white t-shirt, a blue hoodie, and gray sweatpants.

Tips can be shared with Area Three detectives at 312-744-8261. Refer to case number JG-169259.
