Independent publisher Assemble Entertainment and developer Tainted Pact announce their latest title Suffer the Night. Described as “an homage to classic slasher flicks,” this unique horror experience blends first-person survival horror with the vibe of beloved 80’s slasher flicks.
“We are thrilled beyond words to welcome Suffer the Night, our first true foray into horror, into our games catalog,” said Stefan Marcinek, CEO and founder of Assemble Entertainment. “Tainted Pact has woven together an impressive blend of dread and nostalgia, and we’re excited to be able to help bring this story of terror and woe to life.”
Coming to PC via Steam later in 2023, this cursed game places players in the role of Stacey Liden, an artist who specializes in horrific paintings, all set within her isolated cabin deep within the woods. One dark and especially ominous night, Stacey receives a mysterious floppy disk. After booting it up on her old Eldrixon PC, the text-based adventure game [within the game] initiates a night of terror and truly delicious cruelty. When all of these inexplicable things from within the game begin leaking into the real world, and a threatening stranger begins pushing her to finish the game, Stacey is left with the options to either survive, or simply suffer the night.
