It’s never easy walking with the dead.
The spinoff of AMC’s The Walking Dead phenomenon that continues the saga of Rick Grimes and Michonne Hawthorne is moving forward with a new cast member, according to a report on Deadline.
The six-episode series–operating under the working title of Summit–this week added Lesley-Ann Brandt (Lucifer) to the starring duo of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira. Brandt reportedly will play Pearl Thorne, but no character details were revealed.
Production on the spinoff recently kicked off in New Jersey, but no debut date on AMC has yet been announced.
In wrapping up the story arcs for Rick and Michonne from The Walking Dead series, the new show will present “an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world,” according to the synopsis.
“Kept apart by distance, by an unstoppable power and by ghosts of who they were, Rick and Michonne are thrown into a world built on a war against the dead. Can they find each other in a place unlike any they’ve ever known before?”
Without each other, are they even alive? Or will they find that they, too, are the walking dead?
