Will the cranberry sauce hide the blood?
Thanksgiving–a new horror pic from Eil Roth (Cabin Fever)–has started shooting in Toronto with three recently signed cast members, according to a report on Deadline.
The film–being released worldwide by TriStar Pictures and Spyglass Media–is based on a mock trailer by Roth that appeared in 2007’s Grindhouse cult double-feature. No release window has yet been announced.
Gina Gershon (Killer Joe), Rick Hoffman (Hostel) and comedian Tim Dillon this week joined the previously announced Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Neil Verlaque, Jalen Thomas Brooks and Milo Manheim in the cast.
Thanksgiving–directed by Roth from a screenplay by Jeff Rendell–is produced by Roth and Roger Birnbaum.
Plot details have yet to be revealed, but the original mock trailer deals with a pseudo movie in which a slasher “males his own carving board out of the inhabitants of a Massachusetts town.” And Roth gets into the action himself–in one bloody scene in which he loses his head (literally).
